Marketing roles on the rise

Research has revealed that the demand for marketing professionals have increased on both a quarterly and yearly basis.

Marketing vacancies have risen by six per cent in the first half of 2014 and eight per cent compared to last year. Marketing roles advertised have also become more popular than other sectors including accounting, IT and retail.

Organisations based in the Midlands have seen the most demand for marketers with 15 per cent more roles created since the second half of 2013 and the North West has seen marketing roles rise by 13 per cent in the same period.

Sue Foster, Head of Perm at Ataris Search, said: “The increasing number of marketing positions advertised is reflecting the confidence in the permanent market.
